On May 25th, 2020, Keystone Racing p/b Lupine Lights attempted to ride as many vertical feet up Mt. Penn as possible in a 4-hour timeframe to raise money for the Reading Recreation Commission's food service program. Starting at 9am, the team rode from Duryea Drive to the William Penn Fire Tower. The segment is 2.0 miles with 663′ of vertical gain, averaging 6% grade.
If you missed out on pledging for riders for Monday, you can still pledge through May 31. Pledge amounts are in the "penny per vertical foot" calculus. All of the riders deserve recognition for their efforts, and when you recognize them you're benefitting why they rode up Mt. Penn for 4 hours on Memorial Day - to benefit the Reading Recreation Commission's food service program.
If a pledge amount is too high for your budget, simply pledge for a rider who fits your spending ability. Everyone rode as a team to collectively raise funds for the Reading Recreation Commission and they will not be offended if your pledge goes to another rider!
